We had an absolutely wonderful weekend in Seattle. The rain, the foliage, the grey skies - everything was exactly how I expected it to be.
We hit all the tourist spots: Pike Place Market, the first Starbucks, Pike Brewing Company, and several stops downtown. We spent half a day on Bainbridge Island, swinging in the park and browsing the shops (the pet store and fabric shop were my favorites!). Then we spent the rest of the weekend exploring the neighborhoods - watching the sunset at Kerry Park in Queen Anne, enjoying brunch and oysters in Capitol Hill, walking the Farmers Markets in Fremont and Ballard, and taking in the view at Gas Works Park. Spending time with friends and discovering so much about Seattle I never knew, I have to say I boarded that departing plane pretty smitten.
