I absolutely love Thanksgiving and although my mother usually takes care of all the delicious cooking, we do tend to experiment with new dishes depending on what we are craving each year. Taste testing new recipes has brought us several dishes we can't live out (and a few that we certainly can!). Below are two recipes I have found on Pinterest that have kept my mouth watering all month. I definitely throw the calorie counter out the window during the holidays and these recipes are no different - but they sure are delicious.
Lastly is also my favorite presentation of a pumpkin pie. Ever since learning how to make a pumpkin pie from scratch, it has been my responsibility each year to dish them out to family and friends. My signature touch? Fall leaves and acorns made of extra pie crust! I found the most adorable stamp cutters from Williams Sonoma and since then a leaf border has made its way onto every pie I make. My trick: add aluminum foil around the edges for the first half hour of baking so the leaves don't burn!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
