We love the Pacific Northwest, but that doesn't mean we don't miss California. And while it may not be conventional to treat homesickness with candles, the scent of Pretty Place's Santa Barbara candle smells just like home!
The lovely ladies of Pretty Places sent me a set of their candles just before we moved and I'm so grateful to have them in our new home. Their candles were best-sellers at their boutique in Beverly Hills and when the store closed, Pretty Places burned on. Named after their favorite cities in the state, I love that each scent is unique to the area - like rose for Pasadena, sandalwood for Berkeley, or nutmeg and clove for Mammoth Mountain.
Each candle is hand poured in California and made of all-natural, biodegradable, and clean-burning soy wax. They smell amazing and I swear I'm not being biased, but my favorite scents are actually Santa Barbara and Ojai - which also happen to be two of my favorite cities. Born in one and lived in the other! If they ever release a Ventura scent, I'll have all the bases covered :)
Big Sur is also a recent addition that I can't wait to try. I know the smell of eucalyptus will take me right back to our last California road trip before taking off to new adventures in Seattle. I love that I can just reach for a candle to bring back those memories. Which pretty place is your favorite?
